COCHISE
COCHISE is a 2.6 meter telescope for millimetric astrophysical observations. Its installation has been completed in January 2008.
The main scientific goal are the cosmological studies, in particular the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect. Moreover, at the beginning of its operations COCHISE will also carry on the site characterization for Concordia from the millimetric point of view, by studying the atmospheric transmission and the sky noise. Since it's the biggest telescope installed at Concordia, COCHISE also hosts some technological experiments, devoted to the study of the defrosting and remote control (see the CAMISTIC project). COCHISE is a project of the OASI group at the University of Roma Tre.
